My best friends live in the same country as I do but we seldom see each other due to busy work and personal schedule. We often plan ahead where we are going. And today is no difference.

First Stop: Yingying Tea House

If you are a fancy kind of person then I don't think this kind of Chinese restaurant is your cup of tea. The place is looking old - probably because it was established 8 years ago and found along the busy street of Dasmarinas Binondo. If you come in alone or in a small group of 3, chance are you'll be sharing tables like we did. Yingying Teahouse offers a lot of fulfilling Chinese dishes - Roasted Peking Duck, Asado, Congee, Cold Cuts, Dimsum and Mami to name a few.

Ala carte food can feed a person or two. According to their customers, Lechon Kawali is a must try. It is also a great deal because you can have a decent meal that ranges from 100 Php - 1000 Php!

Yinging Tea House is located at 233-235 Yuchengco St, Binondo, Manila, 1006 Metro Manila

After making our tiny tummy happy, we took a grab to National Museum of Natural History. Like it's twin building Museum of Anthropology, National Museum of Natural History was previously used as Agriculture and Commerce building before it was repurposed.

The building was kept the way it was except the addition of DNA-like dome people call "Tree of Life".

The museum seems to be a lot better than Anthropology ( well according to my last visit 2years ago) because Natural History is more interactive. The admin installed speakers to showcase sounds of animals, engaging video projection and TV installation.

It's an interactive video projection of the sea. When you step on it the water ripples.

Anothe art installation. Water fall projection on white curtain.

Skeleton of Lolong , the biggest crocodile in Philippines

National Museum of Natural history has a wide range of collection. This 5 storey building has different compilation in each floor, from kinds of tree to dozen species of sea shell.

Thoughts: It is best for school field trips since this museum is every educational, but I honestly don't recommend bringing toddlers or kids ages 5 below. Why? Come on they are honestly too young to remember or appreciate this kind of scene. If they actually show interest and are well behave, then maybe. But if not, maybe save your ass from paying breakable glasses if your kids run into them
